Challenge:
The client approached me with an idea for a tattoo that had very personal meaning to her. The tattoo illustration had to represent freedom from old bounds.

She clearly knew how she wanted the horse positioned and how the wings would come out. She also knew that she wanted the pegasus to be leaping from flames. Much like a phoenix being reborn.

The process of designing a tattoo is a careful one. The illustration must be just right.

Solution:
I presented several sketches to the client. And after approval I began to illustrate the tattoo. After the tattoo had reached a good point I showed it to her again.

It ended up being in a slightly wrong direction. So I redrew a new illustration that fit her exact desires.
